Blitzer blowhard no better than Russert, maybe worse...

The latest CNN debate was another sad benchmark in our slide towards an entirely corporate controlled election process. Wolf Blitzer, CNN's mouthpiece for the evening, consistently posed A or B, this or that, childish and simplistic questions for the candidates and he seemed downright unashamed of that or the shunning of Dennis Kucinich throughout the evening. Here's the Chris Dodd Campaign's Debate Clock which shows who got what share of the talking minutes. As usual Dennis gets the least and Wolf gave himself plenty of time.

It seems pretty clear that the debates aren't doing much to give the American people a look at each candidate. Tim Russert did his best to torpedo the hopes of a Kucinich presidency with his asinine UFO question and he was downright combative on so many points with gotcha questions that did little more than glorify Tim Russert.
Counterpunch has more on this- Paul Krassner on Russert David Swanson on Blitzer
The corporate media clearly wants a Clinton versus Giuliani campaign and it seems likely that's what we'll get. I'm really going to puke.
